Kadhai paneer video recipe | quick and easy paneer recipe

Kadhai paneer is a tangy and tasty paneer sabzi that is quick to make and is sure to be a hit!
Ingredients I used:
To roast:
- 1 tsp butter
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 200g paneer
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 bell pepper, diced
- 2 green chillies
For gravy:
- 2 tbsp butter + oil
- 5 pepper corns/kali mirchi
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 2 bay leaves/tejpatta
- 2 cardamoms/elaichi
- 2 cloves
- 1 and 1/2 medium sized or 2 small onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 large or 3 small tomatoes, blended
- 2 tbsp red chilli powder (or as preferred)
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 3/4 tbsp cumin powder
- salt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- water as needed
Procedure:
- Heat butter in a pan and add turmeric, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix well and add paneer, diced onions, bell peppers and green chillies. Once charred, set it aside.
- In a pan heat a mix of oil and butter, add whole spices and toss well.
- Add onions and ginger garlic paste and fry till it doesn’t smell raw anymore.
- Add the tom #paneerlovers till the tomatoes leave oil on sides.
- Add your roasted paneer and veggies, coriander powder, cumin powder. Mix well, add water if needed to reach the desired consistency.
- Lastly add garam masala, kasuri methi and cream and mix well.
Serve hot with rotis/parathas.
