Donald Trump holds first rally since assassination attempt | BBC News

Donald Trump has held his first rally since an attempt was made on his life – and the first with his new running mate JD Vance.

The Republican presidential nominee told the thousands of attendees in Michigan that he “took a bullet for democracy”, and to huge applause, said he was ready to "take back the White House".

An investigation is under way into the shooting last weekend, which left Trump with a wounded ear - though the prominent white bandage he wore throughout the Republican National Convention had on Saturday been replaced by a discreet flesh-toned plaster.

Illegal immigrants BBC. Not migrants. How deceitful and misleading.

I despise what the BBC has become, its supposed to be impartial, but look at the language that is used by its reporters, its abhorrent. Top it off the 'news anchor' talks to the audience like we have an IQ below 90. Sorry BBC, you have lost so much credibility, its just as bad as ch4.

Bbc We see through you. Trying to manipulate people instead of showing what the truth is.

It seems like they haven't learnt from the previous rally not to position citizens behind the public speakers.

As a 'news' item, why does the narrator have to keep adding her own biased opinion? "...Within minutes, he attacked his rival." no he didn't. He said "What THEY do is misinformation, disinformation..." He did NOT attack Joe Biden personally, he explained what people against him, say. Thats a plural, not a single individual.
"It felt like a pop concert" Who cares what you feel? Just show us the news. "He said this....etc". Then we watch and listen and make our own minds up. Why explain how we should think, or feel, about it? "He continued to sing the old song...." WHAT?
The BBC continue to disgust me. Why have the word 'NEWS' in their title. It should be 'OPINION', or propaganda.

The first time I read "Donald Trump attempts first rally since assassination"., After drinking my coffee I read it right but me being wrong has more logic than the right title.

Key word: Rally.
Who else in history loved giant rallies and mistook them for popularity?
