Great review. Extra Virgin and Pink Agave were my favorites. Loved the salt crusted Dorade and clam chowder at the Wake, gnocchi and sea bass at EV, steak and shrimp at Pink Agave, short rib pastrami at Razzle Dazzle, and shrimp at the Dock.

Just booked a 15 day transatlantic on Virgin Scarlet Lady in October ... for $85 pd pp which includes gratuities, wifi, and non-alcoholic beverages. That is about half the price of the transpacific cruise we were booked on Discovery princess. The food looks really good and has good variety. It will be a nice change from Celebrity and HAL in 2024.

Thank you for your review, I tried every single restaurant while on the valiant lady and decided to skip on Test Kitchen… and I’m glad I did!!!
I was on a trip back in late December and thankfully didn’t experience any slow service. I CANNOT wait to jump on another virgin cruise!

Thanks Zach! We appreciate your videos and we're convinced that your tastes and views of food align to ours, so it's intriguing that you have a positive view of Virgin's food offerings. That said, we really love Celebrity's wine offerings and pairings with food and to be honest, realistically, we consider ourselves very happy and loyal to Celebrity (Lawn / Rooftop Grill and Eden... :-) ). That said, is Virgin's wine offerings basically "pay as you play" and do they have any sommelier / wine pairing capability? Keep up the great work!

Hey, Zach...I am happy to report I just disembarked from Valiant Lady yesterday. My first cruise, ever, and I am totally smitten! I tried all the main restaurants except Test Kitchen as I knew that wouldn't be for me. You and I had several favorites alike: the ribeye at Pink Agave was phenomenal, as well as the corn. I loved the soft shell crab benedict and the filet (steak and eggs) at the Wake for brunch. Like you, I wasn't that fond of the calamari at EV; the breading was yummy but I found the fish a little chewy. I got the braised pork cheek there and it was SO good! I loved Gunbae so much! My experience was different from yours, though, as the server, Future, moved along the dinner quickly...it was all so very good and lots of fun. I also enjoyed all the cocktails I had on the ship...top quality and very tasty. I can't wait to return to Virgin! My bucket list is to go on all four ships even though I understand they are all very similar. I loved every minute of my VV sailing! Thanks for the review...🙂

I am actually on a Virgin Cruise as I type this. I have been on many cruises but this is my first Virgin _no pun! HANDS DOWN THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD ON ANY CRUISE LINE EVER. I have tried 3 different restaurants on the ship, also food at Richard’s rooftop, room service and round bar. I got the same steak you had at agave. It was a thin fatty ribeye. Maybe the best thing I have had yet on this cruise. Maybe at a shitty diner or a Denny’s or Waffle House. But on a cruise ship complete garbage. Eggs for room service are powdered. The shrimp were slimy and iffy. The steak at round bar seemed microwaved. Over all a F. If you want great food do Celebrity

I sailed on the Scarlet Lady last year and had the same thoughts about Razel Dazzel. Good breakfast, but the dinner was meh. Gunbae is good for your first or second night, I'm having my birthday dinner there.

pink agave was probably the best thing they have; I was very underwhelmed by the others and I felt like the menus were extremely LIMITED

Zach thanks for the food review and I’ve been on over 90 cruises but never on Virgin and after seeing all your food options I will never sail with Virgin ! The only thing that I like about Virgin it’s that’s adults only .

I really had had high hopes for Virgin's food options. Very few items you showed looked good. I would enjoy the salad bar, the ice cream bar the pizza option. Are these 3 open during breakfast?

I agree with you re: the Test Kitchen - I've never been impressed with it, and always think it's keeping the 'Instagram crowd' happy. I absolutely ADORE Pink Agave - the food in there is absolutely fantastic!
