This is actually pretty good. I'll use this knowledge whenever I (unfortunately) get olimar in RANDOM.

I main olimar! While red is good for smash attacks, it still can struggle to kill when you miss the small sweet spot window, it also has reduced knockback on throws, which makes it good for comboing out of throws! Blue grabs not only kill, but they deal about 20 damage per throw, so they are rewarding to grab with, (although you lose acsess to any grab combos). Purple is truly the best smash attack one, it kills MUCH more reliably then red, of course has half the range though. Double purple down smash can break full shield when spaced correctly so that both hits of down smash connect to shield! While playing him like a swordie is solid advice, what makes olimar good is his versatility to play too different game plans. He can play the long range camping game with primarily side b damage, he can play the mid range swordie game, with double purples he can even begin to play a rush down high pressure playstyle despite being a slow character. Also get good at mixing up your recovery because other wise you will die off stage a lot! And don’t be greedy, throw those purples away if you have to before you recover!

Also, His whistle has an Super Armor Frame that allows him to survive to almost Every Thing In the game, but its kinda hard to do
