Which secret resonated with you the most?

"I buy what I need and admire what I don't" - my first thought: houses. A big beautiful house with a room for every activity sounds great, but I don't need it (especially for just me and some pets) and don't need the bills. But, I'll admire the homes of others who do use and maintain them. Always a big fan of beautiful architecture.

Not being defined by what you own was one of the hardest ones for me. It is letting go of your social status and stop caring about what others think of you. It was hard, but super freeing!

1. Buy only what I need
2. Wait for at least a week to get a new item
3. Maintain a small closet
4. Cook bigger batches of food each time
5. Spend time with people who matters .

The last big thing I bought was a house and every morning I wake up and I am happy to live in this beautiful home. I enjoy it every single time to go downstairs and look outside with a cup of tea. I am so grateful.

I legit paused this video because I felt inspired to do a huge closet declutter (3 trash bags' worth!), took the clothes to goodwill, and am now back to watch the rest of it! 😀

Secret #4 resonated the most with me. Just because I admire a thing, doesn't mean I need it.

I recently purchased a cheaper car (fully out of pocket) than what I originally wanted but you know what…it’s working great and getting me where I need to go. So I guess sometimes getting what you can afford is just as good :))

I held off buying a fan in my room for like 5 months because I didn't want to spend the money. I finally bought a ceiling fan this weekend that fits my needs and I'm glad I did because my room is stuffy and the air doesn't circulate well. I should have bought one a long time ago!

Love these! My secret is don't ever buy more clothes unless it's for a special event (weddings etc.)

Secret 3! I am 44 and somehow, this is a totally new concept!! I love the idea of spending only on what I truly value. Buying only what I "need" has always been my goal, but leaves me feeling like I can't have what I want, which makes me give up and buy stuff! Buying what I value gives me permission to buy the RIGHT things and a reason NOT to buy the things that won't serve me.

The last major thing that I bought that I can actually remember was a “watch.” A rangeman G-Shock that was carbon fiber straight from Tokyo. It ended up being like $500 and ask me how many times did I wear it. Less than 6 times, I thought it was suppose to bring me joy or happiness but instead it brought me anxiety and buyers remorse especially since it wasn’t nothing sleek the way I like things.

My most recent large purchase was a bass guitar and amp. And it honestly has absolutely brought me contentment. I have fallen in love with the instrument and use it as a de stressing activity. But I can for sure say none of my other purchases do.

Taking this journey to minimalism has dramatically changed my life in such a positive way ♥️ the one thing that has been life changing is the way I manage my money. Finally, after 6 years in apartment I saved enough money to get into a house! I am being intentional about not buying fast food and clutter! I feel my anxiety drifting and peace settling in 🙌 it’s an amazing change!
Thanks, Ron

I’m always seeking for deals. I feel left out if I don’t seek for a sale. But you’re right, too much stuff doesn’t give me content. I stared at all of those clothes and things in my closet and didn’t make me happy.

I was never a shopaholic but I used to buy things that was a fad. Not any more. Thanks Ron ❤
