As an American infantry who volunteered, I have to agree completely with all of these stereotypes

The engineer one is perfect. Our combat engineers in the US are basically really smart and mildly insane infantry with lots of explosives, who like to run around blowing shit up and pretending they’re infantry. I assume Swedish ones are the same.

I’m also not joking about the insane bit. I once saw a First Sergeant personally pack a large amount of plastique under a tree, fire the charge, sending the tree into low orbit and back down _exactly_ where the infantry lieutenant wanted it as a roadblock. His company commander and two warrant officers were watching and encouraging the entire thing.

That same captain had apparently once decided that the best way to get rid of an IED buried next to a road was to walk up to it, toss a hand grenade in the hole, and step back.
