I've been using this saw for over four years and it's been great.

I have the same set up, except a smaller generator that's off to the side. Hate cleaning the sawdust out of it. Also have a fan set up behind me blowing the dust away and keeping me cool.

I had the same accidental handle breakage and was amazed how easy and cheap it was to fix. A great saw from a great company. There is a company called Shop Nation that makes a 3d printed aftermarket dust collector specifically for this saw that greatly improves the dust collection, the only shortcoming of the saw IMO. It costs about $50, but I thought it was worth it because it's a big improvement if you do vacuum dust collection.

The chopsaw was a nicer cut for sure and that’s funny. You mentioned it because I kept tripping my arc fault breaker cutting blocking for the cabinetry in the new house with my Makita chopsaw last week. 😂

I just picked up this saw at their parking lot sale for $244. I bought the Hercules stand a couple months ago for my old Dewalt at an Insider club price of $89. So, I'm all in for $333. Current regular price would to around $530 for both pieces ($349.99 saw/$179.99 stand), so it really pays to watch out for the sales. I will be installing the Hercules on the stand and retiring the Dewalt.

I’ve got some sassafras (8”-10” diameter) that came down last year I’ve got set aside for turning. I never thought to use my herculese miter. Thanks

i put mine on the ridgid rolling miter saw stand . very mobile and can be store store upright with the saw attached .

These are amazing saws considering to get the same features you're paying 2x from big name brands. Only thing I hate about this saw is the dust collection. Even with a vacuum, it seems to just blast out dust all over the work area. Best tool for the money, hands down.
