I worked at Wendy's and we never used expired burgers. If a burger got overcooked we tossed it into a fridge below the grill and used it to make the chili. The sauce rendered the overcooked meat juicy and delicious. Mmmmm. Now I crave chili.

Lanolin is a sheep skin secretion. Their wool absorbs it and protects them from the elements. Particularly rain. Some might think that's pretty gross, but I think it's great stuff. I once showed sheep and got the stuff all over my bare arms. It's amazing how well it works as a moisturizer for skin.

That story about Wendy’s chili is untrue. I worked there, and expired meat was never used. Burgers that were overcooked, or if more were made during dinner rush, than were sold, were used for the chili.

Homebrew hobbyist here, isinglass is NOT in the beer we drink, the clumps settle to bottom of fermentation tank. What's probably a better fact is the alcohol is essentially urine of yeast.

This is just sad. As an animal lover, they tell all us people "don't hurt animals, be nice to animals, don't abuse animals" yet these people are grinding chicks! I mean, they should be the ones going to jail for animal cruelty

Hi, storytime re andouillettes - feel free to ignore, as always! If not, be my guest ;-)))


[When I was still in the military, we were invited to visit the largest military medical facility in Lyons/ F for a combined medical congress and friendly encounter. Coming from a similar place in Munich/ D (the then SanAk BW) it was kind of a "partner institute".

We spent three days there, complete with accomodation and meals. The first one on arriving was something indefinable and smelly about 15 cm long and 8 cm thick, served with coarse mustard, and without any explanation what it was. Later we were told that andouillettes are a local specialty there, and the French wanted to shock and prank us Germans, because we came from Bavaria, where a large variety of sausages is commonly on sale (most of them delicious, but some are similar to andouillettes, I have to admit!)

During my medical studies I had volunteered over three years in the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the LMU Munich, and had already cut the equivalent of several kilometers of intestines in half during autopsies. Trying to assess what was on the plate, I cut a bit off, wondered why it looked like intestinal tract tissue (even the filling!), and tried it first WITHOUT mustard.

Spoiler alert: DON'T DO IT!!! No amount of equally coarse red wine could distract from the taste and smell which is correctly described in the video, and the only saving grace is in fact the spiucy and grainy mustard, which distracts a bit from the texture and taste. To avoid diplomatic issues ;-) I managed to gulp down one of the abominations under the watch- and gleeful eyes of our French hosts. In contrast, my now ex-husband (whom I first met during the trip) liked it immediately, which should have set off all alarm bells, but at least he never asked for andouillettes as a meal later...

For dessert we had "Cerveau de Canutes", another speciality named after the local tribe around Lyons from Roman times. The name translates to "Canute brain", but thankfully this dish is a local crumbly white cheese resembling most closely e.g. Philadelphia, served IIRC with honey drizzled over it -

Wendy's isn't the only place that uses old patties for chilli. Checkers does as well and typically they patties are only left over from the end of the night. Not through out the whole day, and the patties are 2-3 days old at most frozen after the closing cleaning

All of the eggs that are sold commercially are unfertilized so the disposition of cockerels has no effect on egg production, at least eggs that are eaten.

@28:00 While energy drinks are certainly not good for you, don't forget that there are plenty of sodas and energy drinks that do not contain any sugar or some that contain next to no sugar. Diet sodas have no sugar, no carbohydrates, and no calories (unless you drink a gallon of it which might become 30 calories). In your shot of the Red Bull in the fridge you can see the sugar free Red Bull can even (although this does not dismiss the excessive levels of caffeine in it). Not everything has sugar in it.

I used to love Nutella. Grew up with it. But thanks to channels like this I just never bought it again. I had no idea before and it certainly is not worth all of the enormous amount of sugars 😫

So glyphosate is found in oats due to herbicide spraying. But at the same time, oats are now supposedly found to help you dispose of forever chemicals. So unless you grow your own oats, then you trade one for the other.
