I have a Jumping spider that lives near my desk. I have been waving 2 fingers at him for weeks. He now waves back. (I did catch a fly and bribe him.)
Here's my fly catching method. Take a lighter and turn the flame up to full. Wave the flame across the fly on a window, the wings vaporize. Voila! I turn a FLY into a WALK which is easier to grab with tweezers, and feed to the spider.

The one arachnid in Australia that didn't try to kill you! Congratulations on the spectacular find, fam.

This was was a long time coming for sure! I'm actually surprised you were able to capture the dance as well which really sold the vid.

I’ve talked in previous comments about how the cute factor was what ultimately broke down my lifelong arachnophobia and it’s so cool to see how it has a scientific basis ❤ These chubby little guys with big eyes quite literally changed my life. From having a paralyzing panic attack when seeing any spider in any situation to now feeling immense joy and pride in myself for being able to put a cup over one to release it outside, I genuinely cant thank jumpers enough. The first time I was able to release a spider in my home was literally one of the most insane spikes of happiness I’ve ever experienced, no shame saying I jumped around screaming “I DID IT!!” and cried in pure joy knowing I had just conquered a fear that was so deeply entwined in my life and never expected to overcome. It was just a truly indescribably feeling.

I will never stop thanking you, Travis and all of the other wonderful creators on here that helped me get to this point ❤ I now have a passion for spiders I literally could’ve never imagined for myself, and knowing such a tiny beautiful creature helped me with a floof of its ‘mustache’ and a curious nature makes me now see the entirety of my lifelong fear as silly ❤ Thank you so much Spencer, I know I’m not the only life you’ve changed ✌🏻

That courtship footage is so cool, what an awesome behavior to observe in the wild! It's amazing how charismatic such a tiny spider can be.

Peacock spiders definitely have the most interesting mating ritual out of any spider species.

Super Cute. A Regal Jumper cured it for me. We kept one as a family pet for a while. We now have one that lives on its own in our house and we see him day to day on the kitchen island. They are so darn cute.

yes, this singular spider helped me with my lifelong arachnophobia. I remember seeing the video of one dancing long ago, and I fell in love. I would have never held a tarantula or rescued and rehomed one.

I get wild jumping spiders in my home every now and then. They tend to make my potted plants their homes, but I have to keep an eye on them a lot of the time as I have two cats that find them equally fascinating but for very different reasons.

My anadi pathfinder character is named Volan after the peacock spider. I adore jumpers so much, they're the best

There are green metallic jumping spiders living in my fruit trees that will jump onto my hand when gently approached. They will not typically jump off me until I bring them back to exactly where I found them. So intelligent and cute!

There’s a cool Lego Ideas build ‘Jumping Spiders’ featuring a Peacock Spider that is gathering support to reach 10, 000 votes. We have until June 28 to reach its goal.
Great content Spencer! Love these tiny little jumpers!

Jumping spiders have very good vision:
"The anterior median eyes have very good vision. This pair of eyes is built like a telescopic tube with a corneal lens in the front and a second lens in the back that focus images onto a four-layered retina, a narrow, boomerang-shaped strip oriented vertically.Physiological experiments have shown they may have up to four different kinds of receptor cells, with different absorption spectra, giving them the possibility of tetrachromatic color vision, with sensitivity extending into the ultraviolet (UV) range"
