How can research be used to support engagement and empowerment for historically marginalized and underserved communities? Find answers in an recorded discussion moderated by Linda A. Seabrook, Senior Counsel for Racial Justice & Equity for OJP, with a panel of distinguished experts in the field.

Sooo...not all but part of what I just listened to is summarized by
-a community has a problem
-instead of going by the data to identify the causes and possible solutions, you want to ask the people in the community, many of which are the problems causes, what th problems are and how to stop said problems
- then collect data structured by these findings
-find possible ways to fix said problems
-then take those findings back to the communities for their approval
-all while having an overarching conclusion in mind while framing the results in the most positive light
calling this unbiased factual science
- and no one sees a problem with this?
One quick observation...if the communities could identify and reach solid conclusions on their own, why are the problems there? One would think that we have established the causes of most issues and that there is a lack of will to change.
