You forgot the Irish Wolfhound, the largest hound out there. They were bred for hunting Wolves and Wild Boar which are now both extinct in Ireland. They remain the mascot for Irish Regiments in Ireland and other countries like the Irish Guards in the UK & the 69th Regiment in New York.

Although Gunny, pictured here, is half black lab, the Bloodhound half of him is most notable. He is quite the comedian and a most conniving dog. Never ceases to try and out smart us. Most of all, he is the most tender hearted and loveable dog who's ever owned me. He's a hundred and forty pounds, a monster, but SO gentle with children. He's so we'll mannered that I can walk him anywhere without a leash. Just a big bundle of joy who can make us smile no matter what kind of day we've had
