Limits 1.9: Vertical asymptotes

Показать описание
When a function approaches +ve infinity or -ve infinity (as the denominator approaches zero from either side) as x approaches to a finite point, then there is or are vertical asymptote(s) to that function.

Note: If x is not approaching to a finite point, regardless of the function growing arbitrarily large, there will be no vertical asymptote.

i simply could not get since 8th grade what does y=1/x mean in natural meaning, my teachers always say me you just need memorise, and you did say that as x grows, y lessens and that cleared my mind; yeah i know that it is so simply to get, but i did not know it, i used to just memorise, not analyze, and because of it i was so afraid of functions for 3 years. omg i really do appreciate Your piece of work
