2021 Porsche 911 TURBO S (992) Still the Best Sports Car?

The new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S type 992 is being launched as a Coupé and Cabriolet, both powered by a new 3.8-liter boxer engine with 2 VTG turbochargers, which delivers 650 horsepower (478 kW), 70 HP (51 kW) more than its predecessor. Maximum torque is now 800 Nm (an increase of 50 Nm). The Turbo-specific 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) cuts the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) to 2.7 seconds (0.2 seconds faster), while top speed is unchanged at 330 km/h (205 mph).

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupé will be available in Germany at a price of €216,396 including country-specific equipment and 19 per cent VAT. The 911 Turbo S Cabriolet will be priced at €229,962.

Turbo S has always been the everyday super car that was the fastest to. Now there are cars breaking 2 seconds to 60. That’s the only thing they should have changed on the new one. Gave it enough power to break 2 seconds.

911 turbo is getting a little harder to justify with the “non” turbo 911s out there. Carrera are nearly previous “turbo” gens performance. Plus when you add the nice stuff, we have ourselves a quarter million dollar 911
