What also helps: taking time to take care of your hair and your face. Often times i dont like my clothes because i need a haircut, or havent worn makeup in a while.

#2 is so important! I use this in order to declutter. If something is a "meh" item, I force myself to wear it. If i don't feel good in it this day I know why I don't reach for it and can finally let go. In theory, I liked many of my clothes but not when I actually wore them. In reverse, the best indicator for a piece to keep is when I forget what I'm wearing because I don't constantly fidget or check myself in the garment.

Documentation is KEY!!! You suddenly have this concrete information how you look, what you wear most, plus can judge new pieces against how you would add it into existing outfits you wear and love 🧡

I am pear shape and I have come to the same conclusion about bottoms, having fewer but better fitting bottoms takes the stress out of dressing and I can go to town on the top.

I once took on a bet from a colleague who challenged me to wear a different outfit to work (I was a teacher back then) for an entire year. I have a reasonably sized wardrobe and probably could do a good old cull now and again so I took up the challenge and I did it. Even if it was different shoes or a different cardigan or jacket ... it's worth thinking about and I realised that I was able to wear everything in my wardrobe without buying anything new ...

My style uniform is a high waisted skirt (of all lengths) with the shirt tucked in, often with a belt of some sort. After spending years in pants, I'm going full comfort mode!! Bike shorts or colorful tights under my skirts. I feel so cute! And also no overly tight/pinchy/uncomfortable pieces. It has rlly made a difference

1. Document
2. Record feelings
3. Pinterest for inspiration
4. Outfits that work on your body type
5. Realistic outfits for your lifestyle (elevate basic tee and jeans with accessories or cardigan)
6. Start with the hardest part first (top half for me)
7. Know when to experiment
8. Figure out what you don't like
9. Comfort and practicality
10. Don't neglect accessories

I’ve been documenting my daily outfits as best I can for the past few years and it has helped me so much! Even if no one ever sees them it’s a way for me to express my creativity. Also it really helps fortify me against falling for influencer trends 😂 I can appreciate a cute outfit on someone and realize that it is not really something that lines up with my outfit formulas over the years. I found this out the hard way when I tried to dress like “Parisian style” which was totally not me!! I am more of a bohemian girl. I’m not French Chic, I’m more Preppy Bohemian type.

As a pear-shaped body myself, I find A-line skirts and dresses are the easiest and best way to dress myself.
Pants are so hard to find, especially ones that suit my whole wardrobe. New sub, hi there!

Fully do this. Jeans girl here. Summer is jeans with ballet flats and a pretty shirt, winter is jeans with low heeled ankle boots and a cashmere or chunky woollen jumper. Mid or long dresses allow for variation when craved.

For me, this video appeared just in time. I just started to build my dream wardrobe by getting rid of a quite amount of clothes I have but never wear. Your advices and sharing are really helpful and inspiring! Hope that I'll be able to figure out my daily uniform soon ❤😅!

Great idea to dress for your most challenging features! As a curvy girl with a super long torso it’s incredibly difficult and frustrating to find bottoms that fit- I never thought to start with the bottoms when putting an outfit together! Will definitely try!

My favourite outfit recipe: a t-shirt (usually men's 😂), a pencil skirt and trainers. Professional enough for work, easy to run around in, and comfy enough for me to be myself. It looks great on my size (5 2ish) and figure (size 16, hourglass) and it's easy to mix and match! Everything I need and doesn't take much brain power. ❤
The fun for me comes in with accessorising 😊 I've never met a novelty bag I didn't love, colourful tights and I'm a jewellery maximalist!

I love this! I actually have always had issues with tops because I am short with large bust and shoulders. I've finally accepted this and now always wear loose tops as my style uniform. I've never looked back.

Great idea! What works for me is wearing items that I get compliments on. I wear my favorite things and then I take notes and what is complimented on it’s very interesting.

I definitely agree with documenting your fashion that way you can make tweaks and adjustments in finding your true style!

I have been quietly binging your channel this week and it's given me such focus at a much needed time. I'm not on a low buy or no buy year, but I am on a buy better adventure. I never thought I'd be the type of person that would feel stuck in a style rut but recently I've realised how many items there are in my wardrobe that I keep wearing just because I own them, not because I feel good in them. And how many other items I don't wear because they were a one hit wonder and it's time to let them go.

I'm tired of buying things in a fit of shoppers excitement and then not getting the wear out of them because I didn't remember the fabric of that blouse makes me cold, or that t-shirt sleeve is too clingy and makes me self conscious, or the style of that jacket is too formal for my lifestyle. I want to buy with more intention than excitement this year, and your tips and tricks across so many videos, not just this one, have been invaluable!

Wow..this was actually really helpful! Love the tips..more often than not we don’t consider body types when we’re pinning outfits.

This video helped me realise what my dream style is. I looked through Pinterest board and noticed flowy dark maxi skirt on each of them. I have very few clothes and they are hand me down but still I own and wear maxi dresses mostly. On colder days I wear jeans with black rock style or khaki military style T-shirt.
