Great tips on tracing an intermittent leak. Step by step process proved it perfectly. I thought for sure the unsealed trim plate would be the culprit, and I would have been wrong. 😱

So basically what I gathered is waters splashing through the door track and going under the toilet between closet flange and subfloor soaking the ceiling below? And or through the painters tape magic putty

Yeah that man was right about the boots over the pipes. Back in 1970s 1980s the boot covers we're more pretty thick. When we came back to do the roof after 15 years. Yeah we could have used the boots again. And in 1990 they start to make them a lot thinner. I had to replace some of them after 3 years on the roofs we done.🤟👍🌟

Yes Mikey pikes you forgot to spray the roof off I was a roofer for 1973 to 2018 and that's where you usually leaking at and the water will go down the 1 2 3 or 4 inch pipes or the exhaust pipes for the gas heater sometime so maybe you need to get a roofer out there for him God bless you and have a good week 🤫😁😃🤟👍🌟🍺🇺🇸

Why not cap the shower arm and hand held outlet turn on the valve and not deal with buckets and toilet

So the leak came from the toilet bowl gap when the water came out of the shower ? So did you chaulk his shower trim and around the toilet and order them a shower door seal since they like you they might have you install it. So was that long island with the converted 2 family home?
