RIP to the late, great Ronnie James Dio.

Viv Campbell was only 21-22 during this performance! His chops were only going to get stronger from here. Incredible.

I discovered Black Sabbath at the age of 13 in 1981 with RJD at the helm. It was a great time to grow up. I’m glad I got to see all my favorite bands in their prime, and a time when tickets were less than 20 bucks and we could sit wherever we wanted.

Yeah, I loved Dio in all his bands, but only saw him live on the heaven and hell tour. Undoubtedly a fantastic concert and album that I still cherish. Long Live RJD!!

Recorded directly off of the soundboard.
These recordings tend to be a little dry.
But because this band is so tight and Ronnie James Dio is such a phenomenal singer, it sounds great.
I got to see DIO December 31st, 1985 in Seattle.
Yngvie Malmsteen and TKO opened.

I was fortunate enough to see all three tours with Vivian.
The Last In Line tour was beyond incredible.
That Egyptian stage set looked amazing.
