Do not keep large amounts of money in your checking account.

Use a Sharpie pen when writing checks. The permanent ink soaks into the paper.

If you don't write checks, you are not in control of your money ! Try and get some answers or action if there is a problem with a "direct" or "auto-pay" account. Once they have your money, they won't want anything to do with you. Auto pay only benefits the entity you are paying. In this day and age, your digital info can be ripped off even easier. There is a price to pay for easy and convenient.

Checks can be a very easy way to steal money. Someone doesn’t even need to see one of your checks to make fake ones. All that they need is your name and account number. If they actually have one of your checks they now have both of the above plus your address, phone number, and bank routing number. I rarely write checks and I be been keeping less and less in my checking account.

Even the people who is worked at the post office steal your money, they caught the the postal service stole so many checks at his house

I only write a check if I have to and no other option to use. When I get a check from anyone who is buying something from me, I always wait 31 days to make sure it is cleared. I warn them in advance I will wait a minimum of 31 days before sending the item. I make sure they agree in advance. If they put up an argument with me, I tell them to look somewhere else. I will not deal with them!

I got a letter in the mail saying I've yet to cash a check that will be expiring soon... with an option to request a reissued check
Idk it's says it's in the amount of 600.00
Also a deadline date I have til oct 1st
To request it I must sign it

I'm not concerned about this at all. Even if the scammer was somehow able to fake a check of mine, as soon as the scammer deposit's the check, the bank sends me a notification via email and text. Personal checks take time to clear giving me plenty of time to put a stop payment on the check.

I have a PO Box to help protect my mail and packages- always there at a specific time, no delays due to weather, and it’s all literally under lock and key. And it only costs me less than a grande Starbucks latte every month.

Digital payments, have you seen how secure ATT keeps your personal information (70 million plus in the past few months). I’m sure ATT isn’t the only one.

That scanning of incoming mail by USPS is not reliable. Frequently they miss many mail pieces. Also, USPS does not stamp most of mail. There is no way of knowing when it was mailed.

Wait “or” not “and” if you make out a check to two people! So you have to both sign if it is “and” if it is “or” either can sign !

Shred everything with information. Stop sending checks. Accepting checks.
