XT60 Parallel Adapter - How to build your own!

This is a quick video showing how to build a compact XT60 parallel adapter, without any wires, so you can ADD together the capacity of two similar lipo batteries (with the same "C" rating and same number of cells in series ...1S,2S,3S for example). This will allow you to get more flight time without buying so many different sized packs.

I'll also quickly show a Series adapter, for comparison. These allow you to take, for example, two 3S packs and make a 6S pack.

Thanks Brian, made up one last night as well a series lead. Going to put two 1800mah or two 2200mah packs in the Apprentice, in parallel needless to say. Flew the Apprentice today, grey skies and a strong wind, brilliant plane, handled it with ease. Went down the runway at 45 degree angle. That impressed. Later flew my Conscendo, it went down the runway completely sideways. Last one in air as always ...

I use blutack or play dough to hold them together. Works a treat.

Thanks for that hot glue tip. Wire going into my goggles battery came off and I put an XT60 on it and then glue. Very secure.

Pre tin all the pins, then assemble. That way your sure to get a good bond without over heating the shell.

I believe the failure mode is usually the heat causing the solder to melt, before the connectors fail

So with the series connectors if I had 2 14.4v batteries connected my out put would be 28.8volts right?

I'm sorry of this is an ill-informed question, but is it possible to use a single battery and split the power to two different devices simultaneously? I have two 11.1v devices that I'd like to power with one battery (a DJI Osmo+, with battery adapter, and a Wiral-Lite). I'd like to use a single battery to keep weight down. I need run both for rougly 2 - 2.5 hours. Any helpful information would be appreciated--- totally out of my depth with this kind of stuff. Thanks!

Hey Brian - Do you have a video on Charging - what Charger do you like 2200 3S packs!?

Charger Reliability, Durability... multi-pack charging, etc. What do you use - what do you suggest for an average/weekend flyer!? I'm not sure if my 8 year old single output Hyperion little charger is enough (although I am pretty sure its a 2S-4S charger).
