Recently several plastic surgery accounts on social media have been gaining popularity. Dr Kim specializes in facelifts, particularly for middle-aged clients who want to appear more youthful. He posts before and after videos of his clients showing the results of his work, and the general public seems concerned about the quality of his operations. They’ve noticed that many of the faces he’s worked on are very different afterward – many of them looking like a long list of Asian beauty standards. Big eyes, tiny faces, with facial proportions, you’d see in an anime. Is it due to seeing too many beautiful online, or is this the newest trendiest cosmetic procedure? I believe this is called a "ghost doctor" clinic. They use a "Korean" doctor to draw in patients (bc they're popular and sought after in China), but the actual surgeon isn't who is advertised. They're usually not actual plastic surgeons either. Dark Asia with Megan has a video about this.

I really hate when the doctors keep telling all your imperfections, like I went to clinic because I wanted a facial for my acne and they keep telling me how I need fillers and some other things, like I know I am not super pretty but I didn't came for that just for a facial not to get my whole face "fix".

I really hope these people healed well and are truly satisfied with the end result. It is extremely irresponsible of this plastic surgeon to post post-op pictures of his patients when they are not even healed yet, not to mention all the dodgy behaviour he displays online when it comes to his establishment.

Plastic surgeries are becoming more and more terrifying. Is just heartbreaking that those people felt so bad about themselves that they felt the need to go through all that :((

the thing that unnerves me the most is the amount of makeup that the patients are caked in in the "after" videos, I can only imagine the horrible scarring and bruising there must be underneath, sends shivers down my spine

I just read this Finnish dystopian YA novel about a society where extreme aesthetic surgery is the norm and where it's completely normalized for children to get breast implants and stuff. The main character dances at a strip club where all the strippers are "natural" because naturals have become so rare it's considered a fetish to be attracted to them. Having this pop up in my recommendations now is crazy💀

Very long time ago (before social media and beauty filters) my grandma and mom used their life savings to help me get plastic surgery because I was bullied at school and by strangers on the street and on the bus to the point that I would cry uncontrollably when I saw my face in the mirror. Also suffered from bulimia and anorexia as a result from all the harassment and name calling. Just getting your nose done takes 1-2 years to heal depending if you are a smoker or not. I
wanted to get big boobs too but after I saw what my grandma and mother went through because of breast cancer I just couldn't do it and it was too expensive. Unfortunately, plastic surgeries will become more and more common because the beauty standards and stigma around aging is so unrealistic and ridiculous that it will only get worse. In Brazil they even have bank loans just for plastic surgery... and that's where my surgeon got his education.
