Now it's time to show you how to measure cut and install cornice.

Cornice is used to cover the junction between ceilings and walls and to add a decorative element to a room.

It's adhered to the wall and ceiling using cornice cement and held in place with temporary nails while the compound sets.

But how do you add a cornice where the plasterboard under the stairs meets the ceiling? I can't find that info anywhere. :(

Remember, for internal mitres the wall side is shorter, and for externals the wall side is longer. Measure the distance along the ceiling and remember to subtract the distance for the shorter length twice because it has two sides, then make that shorter distance the wall side of the cornice. Now that you've cut the mitre, don't forget to multiply the distance by 2 because there are two sides to the cornice, then cut the mitre accordingly.

Hi, for ceiling gyprock what is the long of nail ? Please because our ceiling without any sign of water, all living aria fall down

Where can I get a "Gyprock mitre master"? niether Bunnings nor EBay. I have a mitre box & keep getting it wrong.
