«Δέδυκε μὲν ἀ σελάννα
καὶ Πληΐαδες· μέσαι δὲ
νύκτες, παρὰ δ’ ἔρχετ’ ὤρα·
ἔγω δὲ μόνα κατεύδω.»
The Moon and the Pleiades have set,
it is midnight,
and the time is passing,
but I sleep alone.
