I love and agree with the message - we already have or are about to have all the solutions. Don't despair. All we need now is the public will. Put your shoulder to the wheel and leave a world of hope and opportunity for future generations. Mitchell tell us what is in it for us personally and for all the world's people and life itself.

This is a great way to talk to other people about the climate emergency - electric cars that are cheaper to run, energy efficient homes that are cheaper to heat, renewable electricity that is cheaper to buy, commuting distances that are shorter, and so much more. Pessimism and doomsterism are such a drag - I sometimes think they they are just an excuse for being lazy. We all need more Beer with our climate activism!

Outstanding talk and exactly what we need right now. It's a refreshing perspective. I enjoyed the ending quite a bit too.

Well done - love the approach of finding common ground, and exploring what things could look like in the future when we work together in addressing this issue.

It's unfortunate that we had to have a pandemic for these sort of work-life changes to happen

Whether we know how to solve for the climate crisis or not, people of privilege must try, because we can. Many in the world do not have the option of trying to change the systems that create climate injustice. Those that do have options, and don't make use of them, are not only doomed like everyone else but morally bankrupt as well.

Thank you for this inspiring talk! I would only caution the rhetoric of acting in our individual self-interest. By any definition, love for others requires some level of generosity, which few are able to equate with self-interest - at least as our economic system has defined it.

Well how about this for a fact, "Clean energy employment grew 3.6% in 2018, adding 110, 000 net new jobs (4.2% of all jobs added nationally in 2018), and employers expect 6% job growth in 2019." (Forbes, Apr 2019)? Or how about "New research says job growth from clean energy will dramatically outpace that from fossil fuels over the next decade" (Toronto Star, October 2019)? The point is Mitchell is right ... it's a question of deciding to make change and then doing it.

If we want more people to accept the fact that climate change is actually occurring (no matter what the reason) we have to stop preaching to the deniers. You cannot beat people over the head and expect to change their minds. Instead I suggest we use more indirect methods to convey the urgency. I think stories in genres such as science fiction, science fantasy, etc. have a better chance of achieving our goals. There is a new book on Amazon, Seeds of Our Future, which along with others books like it take this approach.

Oh Blah blah  blah. He talks about a ''crisis'' like it's a thing. It's not.
