Where was Kathy when I was practicing and single... 😆 (not born yet, I'm sure) 😉
It's truly nice to see a woman who understands the meaning of committing to movement and techniques. Not being subconsciously afraid or hesitant, unsure of her abilities against a stronger opponent.
This is the issue I have with women in combat roles, strength + training + understanding + "instinct" + commitment is just a tough package to bundle., it's so infrequent that it should cause great hesitation in committing women to active combat theaters. Most things physical are devided into men's and women's competitions *for a reason, * Kathy is quite capable of taking on *any* opponent... Using her as a guage when watching other females, how many out of every hundred stack up? Unfortunately, not enough. Having the physical prowess is only half the battle, it's the emotional quotient that's the deciding factor. She's unique, that's for sure.
And the natural instincts of male troops trying to defend/protect female soldiers when it gets down to the wire, instead of depending upon them, as they would a man. Not sexist, just realistic, science-based fact.

This is not smart.. your asking a woman who has never been in a fight and who does not regularly train to what amounts to piss a bad guy off who is attacking you. The reality is woman like Kathy Long or who look like KathyLong are not piked by ba it’s. The bad guys prey on the most vulnerable, the 5’4 120lb woman.
