Taking a screenshot wouldn't make a difference it's taken on the device, not through the TV output, I do hope they make the next switch 4k or even 2k or something 😊

The adapter does not magically increase the resolution of the switch, taking a screenshot will just be the normal 1920x1080

most tvs have this built in, a sharpness filter will make small and distant things blurred, and it will make your display slower

This is the Mclassic. I've been using one for 2 Years now and it does magic on GameCube and Wii Games. Helps on Wii U (especially with Wind Waker HD) and helps smoothing out PS3. PS2 also gets a HUGE Boost for Closeup Stuff, for example in GT4. It Smooths the Image out and boosts the Colors

go to ur tv settings and put sharpness on 0 and it will be smoother

Hot take, anti aliasing sucks. I love the crisp edges especially when at 1440p or above so you can’t even really see the staircase effect anymore anyways. The only time I do use it is when certain games have foliage or hair that looks wrong with it totally off

The mClassic is a wonderful adapter. Unfortunately it doesn’t truly put the Switch in 4K. Yes, it looks amazing on simple photos, but with moving objects, it struggles to do that. It’s not even 4K either, it’s closer to 1440p. But with games in 720p and lower, it does a much better job. The Switch is already good at keeping most games in 1080p, but some suffer from being stuck at 720p, or just barely higher like with the TTYD remake. The mClassic really helps with this by making it to 1080p without sacrificing good looking movement. With GameCube and Wii, it enhances 480p to 720p. It’s useful the most on GameCube, Wii, and Wii U and Switch games that’s are stuck at 720p.

I hope this is a joke... how can a screenshot be different if the source isn't altered? It's not like the switch takes a picture of the hdmi stream as it leaves the console.
The mcable smoothes the video between the source and the tv, so it doesn't affect the source device in any way

This is cool but it would’ve worked better if it was with a Wii so you could see more of a comparison nice vid tho!

Yeah I totally made a short about this adaptor once and showed some Pokemon Legends of Arceus Gameplay. You can see a noticeable difference. It really adds FX anti aliasing to the image. It’s a sort of post processing blur. It does imo make the image more pleasant. It also saturates the colors a bit more.

It’s way more noticeable on older consoles than a Nintendo Switch. I highly recommend it to Retro gamers like me!
