5 EASY WAYS TO KILL ENDERMEN - Minecraft

1. Boat ( Java only?? Not sure. :/ ) - Probably the most effective strategy of them all; all you need to do is lure him into the boat, maybe just run circles around it and then he'll be completely trapped in the boat! The reason this is the best method is because the enderman won't be able to teleport at all whilst in a boat, and thus, he will basically become an ender punching bag. However, one downside is that this method is harder to pull off than others, and can get you smacked around once or twice before you can get it working, but that's really it.

2. Beatdown W/Shield - Basically, do this whenever you can't really build or place down blocks in time, maybe if a few other hostile mobs are after you, as sometimes you will be in a rush! Whack the enderman with a sword, and look into his eyes to completely make him stand still! If you're not in a good position to look at his face AND hit him, then look down and pull your shield up; as soon as he hits the shield, you need to hit him back and keep at it until he teleports to another position, which is when you should stare at him and keep him standing still.

3. Cobblestone Shelter - The enderman is 3 blocks tall, and will not be able to fit in a 2 block space, so just quickly make a cobblestone umbrella type of structure that leaves a 2 block space on all sides, this way the enderman will come up to hit you, but won't be able to! You'll have him down in no time, just don't make this structure out of dirt, as they CAN pick apart your defenses if it's a block they can take.

4. 2 Blocks of Cobblestone - Literally 2 BLOCKS! Despite how scary it looks, the enderman is not actually capable of hitting you when you are standing on 2 pieces of cobblestone. When you see an enderman, jump and make 2 cobblestones vertically, and then trigger the Enderman. "It's over, Enderman! I have the high ground!". Now seriously, DONT use dirt for this. If you're unlucky, he can actually pick the dirt block you're standing on, and you can fall right back into his attacking range, so just use cobblestone instead. Or, if you ONLY have dirt, then build 3 dirt blocks upwards, and the enderman won't be able to pick the third block up because it's too high up! This is the easiest method to use, and I recommend that you DO use this, as it is the easiest one to pull of by far!

5.Bucket of Water / Ponds : Or, if you're somehow STILL unable to do any of these methods, then use water! The enderman will try his best to work his way around the water, but he will either stand there like a goofy pushover, or he will fall into teh water an take damage anyway! Now that I think of it, use THIS method if you're beating down and Enderman the old fashioned way, and your shield breaks halfway through. Your chances of surviving him without some form of way to prevent his attacks are very slim, so do yourself a favour and RUN until you find the nearest pond of water, then you can jump inside and kill him off safely!

Enderman can also take damage from Splash Water Bottles. You have to throw the Splash Water Bottle close to them because if you throw it straight at their body they will teleport.
