The mother had been acting strangely, overly protective of her child, leading everyone to believe she was mentally ill. Just as she was about to be separated from her son, Dr. Charles and Dr. Hannah discovered that her condition was caused by a tumor. With their help and a successful surgery, the mother regained her health and no longer faced separation from her child.

I so wish we had the doctors like them in real life, I wonder sometimes if our alleged medical professionals had that much training.

the thing about ERs and hospitals is that unless you’re a frequent flyer, they don’t know who you are at all and have zero medical history so they can only go off of your presenting symptoms. unless you are physically showing signs of dying it can be super easy to be misdiagnosed unless you advocate for yourself, and even then they may discharge you. emergency medicine is crucial and necessary but it’s also a bitch to be a part of because there is only so much they can do with the info they have. i strongly advise those who feel they may have to go to the ER/hospital soon that you create a binder with your medical history so they a) have documentation that a medical professional diagnosed you with these conditions and b) they’re not just playing a guessing game. i have yet to present to the ER unconscious so i yap about my medical history in detail but i still have the binder just in case. this is why it’s important to get medical check ups!! ignorance is not always bliss.
