I have been trying
to write a haiku for you.
Some things I just can't do.

Maybe you're beyond
ancient asian poetry,
or maybe it's just me.

I have been trying to get this haiku

Maybe this poem
was lost in the sauce we spilled,
that never got refilled.

I've never thought much
of formulaic verse anyway,
and rhymes are not my fort-.

at haikus for you tonight.

I finally found a break, holy shit it's possible,
I finally made it through.]

So just this once, just one attempt.
I'll write you down just right.]

[Kind, sweet and charming.
Voluptuously endowed.
Hair a darkened brown.]

[But then suddenly,
a sharp, piercing pain resounds.
Vision starts to cloud.]

the hand in which it was held,
before the knife fell.]

I swore that I smelled your smell,
but I stabbed myself.]

to me this invokes the feeling of loving someone after they're gone. you want to give them everything, you want to live for them, you want to write haikus for them... but they're not here. and the things you want to do just hurt because they make you remember that.

Idk how these are ordered on other places but listening to these in the order of the youtube playlist creates a touching story where an unstoppable force and an immovable object stop beating the shit out of each other for 5 minutes for the sole purpose of making a haiku and that is very amusing to me...i like to imagine this playing in the end credits of the chonny jash cinematic universe over stills of heart and soul and mind doing quirky slice of life activities together 😭
