The Disturbed Ward maps have already been reworked in the whole Realm Beyond thing. The only realms left are the Red Forest and the Backwater Swamp maps.

I think the visual terror radius will probably be more like it is in dbd mobile or idv where you have a glowing heart on your character that gets more intense the closer the killer is to you

Crotus Penn Asylum isn’t being changed it already had a visual update. They’re talking about Backwater Swamp or Red Forest

As a person who has been playing for dbd for a few years, I can say behaviour has really stepped up their game. However, initially it will be difficult for new players to adapt to so many features. Besides that, Behaviour is doing a pretty good job so far

I think the visual terror radius will be like the one in mobile, a heart will appear on your survivor, getting brighter the farther your in the terror radius

I hope they add a hearing option for killers too, for when a survivor is whimpering near you. Having trouble hearing makes playing killer even harder sometimes....

If we nerf Eruption can we also nerf Dead Hard. Both are kinda toxic and I think Otz meme of both sides saying just wait it out is accurate. Id consider each the most toxic perk for the other side.

For the DH side I dont wanna hear that it was just nerfed. It was reworked. The new version is harder to use and more situational but, when it is used successfully, it provides way more value than it did before.

I always find it funny that the most consistent defense for a perk like dead hard is “wait it out”. Yet when someone gets hit by eruption they can’t use their own guidance and “wait out” the incapacitation.

I honestly wouldnt count "visual Terror Radius" as a 5th perk for Survivors. Spine Chill was changed to visually show the Terror Radius as a temporary change until the visual Terror Radius was going to be released. And on top of that, this entire change is just for people who are deaf, since DBD has a surprisingly large community of deaf players that enjoy the game.

If they implement visual terror radius, they need to make it not precise. They could have it only update every short interval- with the heartbeat, for example. That way normal players can't abuse it to pinpoint killer location. This is sort of how the audio radius works, as the increase in volume takes a bit of a moment to interpret as being louder or quieter.

I believe they’re not planning directional terror radius, but a rather vignette since of you being around a killer, causing you to check your surroundings and making you see possibly less map since the terror radius, then when you’re in chase, that same vignette will disappear. Similar to when you’re too cold in Rust, the vignette will cause the screen to go dark. These visual stacks with someone who’s hit or even covered in wesker’s uroboros will probably have a hard time seeing, but this may be their representation at it.

Effectively giving Spinechill as base kit seems a lot as that will make it so much harder to catch people out which, as a new killer, already feels a real challenge with limited perks to choose from myself.

Not sure how they would balance this for killers but having to use a perk to undo or negate this change even a little bit is a direct buff to survivors and robbing killers of a perk to account for it.

Anyone got any ideas would appreciate a discussion in the comments 👌🏻

Eruption has literally turned me off from the game because it's so frustrating to lose games where I'm forced to sit in one spot and do nothing while my team dies.

Yes! This is how you keep the game interesting. Imagine how addictive this game would be if you completely randomized the meta every three months; it would be so much fun to find new perk combinations.

5:18 They've already did a Realm Beyond visual update for Crotus Prenn Asylum. Going off of small gameplay changes (when it's meant to be a visual overhaul) to the maps doesn't really make sense here since we have a very small list of what is left to visually update. In other words, it's between Backwater Swamp and Red Forest, since these (from what I recall) are the only realms that haven't been visually reworked. My guess is that we're getting a rework to Red Forest, since it's the most controversial realm in the game, but chances are high that it's Backwater Swamp since it's also universally disliked for how boring the map is in general. Time will tell though. Perhaps it's an entirely different map realm though that I neglected to consider.

glad they are looking into eruption but hopefully they touch dead hard too. It's just as annoying as eruption. Having to respect every survivor regardless if they have dead hard until you for sure know they have another exhaustion perk.
