Hoping that breeders establish a stable population of these fellas in captivity. They're so flipping adorable, and I would love to own a couple. But I don't want to buy wild-caught for conservation related reasons.

I love Rain Frogs but I am afraid to buy them. I see there are a few people who are raising them. I do not care about price, I just want to find the right care for them. Made so many mistakes in the past, Thank you for raising them and hopefully you can help create the perfect care instructions.

If you are able to keep them long term, I'd love to see some more videos about them! I love frogs so much!

I adore rain frogs. But I personally can’t get behind owning them right now considering the fact they’ve not been captive bred yet and they’re being captured in massive quantities because of the trend. In Asia they’ve been around as pets for a little while but they are all still wild caught and imported.
Always buy captive bred, especially for sensitive animals like amphibians.

word of advice keep a dry side in the enclosure so they can self regulate and they make a super mess when feeding so i feed in another container which helps alot cuz they take big poops lol

😢 I miss living in Puerto Rico. I lived in the country, so we were basically surrounded by natures animals all around. In Puerto Rico there's a distinctive kind of frog called "Coqui" it's pronounced ko-key that lives only in Puerto Rico. People have tried taking them out of the country, and they die within days. No one has the info as like that little animal (which is amazingly adorable) leaves the country and it dies. If you ever go to Puerto Rico and it rains while your there, omg you are going to hear them all over, everywhere. And the sound they make is like their name, coqui coqui coqui. Just fyi.

People seem to forget that every animal we can now have as pets weren’t always domesticated like horses (cats domesticated themselves tbf) 😭 and you are giving your animals including the frogs a good life! You spend a-lot of effort on keeping them happy. People gonna hate on anything

I suggest you get an instrument to measure humidity in their enclosure. Those are very large vent holes in the top of their bin. How will you know how much of them to cover up to maintain optimal humidity? What IS the optimal humidity?

They are very cute. I hope they thrive.

I was recently in QLD Australia and it had been raining for a few days and one night I went outside and heard the most beautiful soft gentle chorus. I called my friend out and asked what was so sweetly chorusing. She said it was tree frogs. There was no croaking and they were all synchronised going up and down the scales like some sort of heavenly sound. I sat there listening for an hour it was so sweet. It was almost like purring. If I never experience that again I will consider myself blessed to have heard it just once.

I've wanted these fat little dudes for SO LONG! But nobody had any available and only a few people have had any success keeping them, but people have really been pinning down the care lately and I'm SO HAPPY! And I'm so stoked to be able to keep up with you caring for them because they're the absolute CUTEST little dudes!!!!

i've heard that breeding them might be difficult as you might have to simulate a dormancy period first as in the wild they breed right after the rains return following a period of dormancy.

Morph market sponsorship? Obsessed. I love this site and have used it for years. When it first came around I was already in the hobby. It revolutionized herpeticulture.
