for me this is the best 40k game ever. It delves into the world and lore to a degree to no other game has and the writing is really solid. You can tell the devs love the setting.

Owlcat do amazing crpgs, i loved their pathfinder stuff and i really hope that there is at least some crossover between bg3 players because crpgs are such an under appreciated genre.

Honestly, the fact Owlcat *doesn't* do the mocap makes them better. It makes the entire game feel more like actually sitting at the table with your miniatures and having the TTRPG feel.

A CRPG doesn't need the BG3 treatment, for it's never about the character models. You want high-end art, mechanical depth, and spectacular visual and sound effects. Those're what make this type of game good.

A Pathfinder dev vs a D&D dev competing for GOTY would have been the perfect year.

Compared to past owlcat games, it isnt as bug riddled which is a huge step up.

Still has bugs and a ton of huge ones but atleast it wasnt like the first pathfinder. Hope they fix this up nice and quick because i love me some warhammer 40k

This is one of if not my favourite RPG of all time. And the epilogue is a lesson on ow to finish a game tying up loose ends. Not just the consequences of your own actions, but how other actors interact with one another and how that area of the galaxy moves forwards.

Baldur's Gate 3: masterpiece of voice work.
Rogue Trader: a new window into 40k universe that shows many things not shown before about the setting.
Jagged Alliance 3: whole 4 bloody hours of original soundtrack without copypasted song variations.

I absolutely love this game, it reminds me heavily of my adolescent years playing the 3DS Fire Emblem games, similar cutscene style, and combat vibe, while being in my new favorite dark fantasy sci-fi IP.

The game is awesome, although even the latest patch still has a lot of bugs.
I hope that the release of patches will not stop and they will make the next game of the year

I just finished it and I actually like it better than BG3. This is an AMAZING game.
