In this video, Mr. Krug walks through AP Chemistry 2024 free-response question 3, which was posted for public view by the College Board on May 8, 2024. This was a long question, worth a total of 10 points.
As a reminder, the College Board’s official key will NOT be posted online until mid-summer 2024. Also, Mr. Krug does not work for College Board, so his proposed answers and point breakdown are just that – proposed answers. College Board is often more lenient, or more strict, than Mr. Krug’s answers, and Mr. Krug can’t say exactly which answers or which wording will or won’t be accepted as correct.

If i did the right E cell calculation but only because i read the next question to find out it was flipped but forgot to flip my balanced equation do i lose both points because of consistency

for the last part, do you lose points if you have more than 2 sig figs?

For the question that asks why the process needs an external power source. Could the answer that I put be correct that the reaction was generally non spontaneous and ended up having a negative standard E cell? I did not mention that the proceeds was not thermodynamically favorable whatsoever

Does anyone know how the mcq are graded?

For 3 b(ii), could mentioning electron-electron repulsion be a valid justification for the difference in atomic radii?

Are these points all or nothing? For example, for 3(a), I said the correct oxidation number for Ag(s) but not the correct one for Ag2S(s). Would I be able to get a half point?

For part e, i got like 3977 or something like that with 4 sig figs is that fine?

Im so mad i was doing so good . Over half on all the questions but on the e cell one i forgot you don’t multiply by 4 when subtracting 💔and ive never made that mistake before . Literally sold the easiest question. Therefore my E cell was positive so i said it was galvanic causing me to loose even more

If I wrote 3896 s or something along those lines instead of 3900 seconds would I lose all points on that section of the question due to sig figs, or would I still get credit?

All i wrote was that there is 1 mor energy level so there is a bigger radius for that one. Will i get the point?
