Finally a boss guide targeted to melee builds, every other guide ive seen has been recommending just switching to spells to fight this guy.

well, the thing is, he didn't run around when i fought him. It's not easy to stick to his bump or legs. For me, he ran around in circle, sweeping his swords

Try getting behind him and even "below" him when he is not slamming the ground, he will start to turn in 360 degrees trying to hit you. Try walking to the first 5 or 6 summoning signs so you can dodge the arrows easily. Remember you can resummon npcs after the second phase (whose hit will probably oneshot most of the summons helping you)

great video! the cooperators mechanic is really interesting with this boss - sometimes the summons will hold through 75-80% health and other times radahn will 360 multiple times and take out everyone but alexander and the wolf. i think the speed at which you summon is a factor

Did this with the two handed bloodhound fang and did it 2nd try thanks so much you’re a legend I love you so much I’d be trying for 3 hours before this

This boss taught me patience. I fought him like 20 times, took a break for a day, came back and beat him on the 3rd try. You really just gotta stay behind him always, and watch out for the last couple hits of his combos because they will sweep behind.

I tried staying on Torrent and made it halfway through phase 2 once. For me the hard part is not getting hit while trying to summon all the npcs.

What were your stats when you did this fight? I am using the same weapon at +7 with close to 490 AR

If anyone was wondering if you can be to OP for Radahn... you absolutely can. Our of fear I avoided until I finally got to Leyndell and thought "okay it's time to fight Radahn." I'm lvl 157 with 60 str and 50 vigor and 50 end with 35 faith, and +18 guts greatsword and the lions claw ash of war. I buffed up with holy and my super flask and got bonus stamina and strength, with scaled set armor. I lion's clawed him into the ground. He didn't even leave a dent. Didn't use a blue or red flask. He didn't even get a chance to jump into the sky and turn himself into a rocket. I kinda robbed myself of the radahn experience, lol. I beat him in less than a minute.

I'm a pretty bad player when it comes to using a controller so this game and the souls games are new to me. Died too many times to this guy over several days. Saw your video and third try was the winner. I guess a great offense is a great defense. lol. Thanks!

Tried killing him with arrows and magic from as far away as possible. Died at least 20 times. Ended up beating him up close on my first try with a similar strategy. Got him down to about 20-25% health before he could even fly away for phase 2. Attacking his horse really limits his mobility. Once he landed my summons finished him off before I could even engage again 😂.
