I recently just started a new GPD Pocket Facebook group, did not see anyone else having one, so thought I would start it,

I believe there is a updated bios now. You can overclock and adjust throttling etc

I Like the GPd win more, because of the in- build Xbox360 Controller thats Nice, and I mean for the school or bed IT is nice to Play some Games

I just liked the 128gb Lexar flash drive, that thing amazed me more than the GPD itself, , hehe where to get like that one :)

Will this machine be powerful enough to handle coding in Python or even use Game Engines such as Unity? Considering not too much data is processed?

just out of the curiosity, is there any issue with the wifi card and ram speed (the specs say its 1066 or something like instead of standard 1600 mhz) ? thinking of replacing the surface 3 tablet.. (dont mind of not having a webcam, getting a usb type c hub primarily using it for microsoft office use, chrome browser and vlc use) have you heard of the chuwi surbook and the ockel sirius a tablet ?

Are all those games from steam, sorry I don’t know much about gaming pc’s but they come from steam ? Or do u have to download from the website

I would rather buy the pocket than the win because i would never use the gamepad controls anyway. A nice bluetooth mouse is all i need to play stuff like Project Brutality 3.0. The capslock key can probably be rebound to be just another A key. The missing SDCard slot is the only downside i see. Also it looks pretty fancy like those expensive Notebook from Companies like Lenovo, Dell or HP.

If it wasn't for the layout of the keyboard I might buy one, but I could not type on that at all, since I'm finnish, and need an iso layout keyboard, especially since I use a dvorak layout. Maybe if there is a second generation product.

The "vents" on the bottom is a meh speaker. Great for the ubuntu startup sounds, decent for audio when you have it turned down low, crap for anything else.

On windows the fan is always on. Medium to high. Even with nothing running. Under Ubuntu it's way better. Functions like a fan should.

I really want the gpd win but is really hard to play old PC games that basically require a keyboard but if I use a external keyboard it would be annoying to play because of the small screen so ima get the gpd pocket

Nice Review. I have already a GDP WIN but I think that I will invest on GDP Pocket. I would like to ask a favor. Can you run phoenix os on GPD POCKET from a USB stick? I tried it in GDP WIN it runs with low volume (almost useless) and for the screen to rotate to the normal orientation had to hold it upside down for the gyro to turn the screen 90 degrees. I need both the option to run windows and android for some specific tasks. Best Regards.
