I remember when I was a kid learning to play piano, my mom told me Mozart could compose music at the age of 7. I was like "oh, I'm only 5, I still have two years", and now I'm 21 and has "given up" on piano lol. Sad story.

Heard this the first time in the anime "Shigatsu wa kimi no uso" and was instantly amazed by this beautiful piece. So i decided to learn it without any knowledge in piano. After 3 days of practice i can play the the first part, now for the first variation :)

#5 just screams, "Hey, this is MOZART here. Pay attention!" as does #11
#6 is quite elegant. The perfect classical piano example.
and just to show that you can add emotion to it, we have #7 and #10
#9 is almost worthy of Beethoven.

I'm actually happy I learned the composer of this wonderful song through Your Lie in April. I love Classical Music and Orchestral but to hear this song in different variations when I only know the nursery rhyme before YLIA, this hits me so hard. This melody is the basis for at least 3 lyrics that I know. 1st there's one's English abcs. 2nd there's twinkle little star. & 3rd there's ba ba black sheep nursery rhyme. My understanding is that this comes from a French nursery rhyme about dislike of reasoning while wanting sweets.thus ah vows dirai-je maman!
