Russia Warns The West That The Risk Of Nuclear War Is ‘Real’

As fighting in Ukraine enters its third month, Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warns that the risk of the conflict escalating to nuclear war is “real.” Ukraine’s foreign minister is accusing Lavrov of trying to “scare the world off supporting Ukraine.” NBC’s Erin McLaughlin reports for TODAY.

It is not a proxy war. I wish the media would do its homework. Per the Budapest Agreement signed in 1994 between Russia, Ukraine, USA, Great Britain, the USA is bound by agreement to aid Ukraine. Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons to Russia after the fall of the USSR in exchange for security border guarantees. The Agreement identified Ukraine as a sovereign nation. The USA and GB are obligated by the Agreement to assist because Russia broke the Agreement. This has nothing to do with NATO.
