Many people perform actions for approval. Faith Sallie is no different. She has a message for those in society who seek affirmation from others, and "Sunday Morning" approves this message.

Thank you for making this video. Every video in YouTube is about "How to stop seeking validation from others/ peers? " In my head I'm like this is not what I asked for. I became curious about seeking validation because it's something that I see people do all the time from normal everyday people to celebrities. In conversations I see there's always someone in every group that the others look up to before saying something or approve of someone else action. And I become curious and ask myself why that is? And do I act like that too? My point is that we might think that others don't influence our behaviors, but that's far from the truth. I don't believe that there is a such thing as individuality. I think we all tend to looked up to others. It might be a friend, sibling, boss, or someone we idolize.

I mean, I get it. But there's always going to be times where it's perfectly fine to not really give a shit.
