One thing I recorded but missed including in the video - enable XMP (or AMD's EXPO)! This is in the BIOS, and when turned on, it sets your RAM to the frequency its rated for, such as 3200 MTs, vs the JEDEC standard of 2133 MTs. Free performance uplift!

I’ve built a handful of computers for myself and my friends, so I know at least a little bit. But it’s nice to have just a simple guide of what to do next time rather than trying to dig through like Linus Tech Tips 25 minute videos for 3 tips lol

Just did a cheap build for myself. Upgraded from 6 year old rig ( I7 7700 / 1080 / ssd with old hard drive ) to a 7600x with AIO and RX 7600 with 2tb pcie 4x4.0 7000read/5000write NVME. Only extravagance I allowed myself was the LIAN LI 216 white rgb for 99 bucks. My Asrock mobo did not have XMP or DOHC, so I had to set my ram to 6000 manually. Every thing wors like a charm. You are right about testing. My temps were not great until I stress tested for about an hour straight. Apparently thermal pasted needs a "break in" period.

I used a USB c to connect my phone hot spot to my pc so I could go online to install drivers

One of my main problems is I play some older games and had no problem playing them on my 8 year old PC. I just replaced said PC, but forgot that some games don't like each other. 2 of these games use a particular anti-cheat, but different versions. So I have to make sure each of those games and associated support programs are fully shut down, because if not, they sometimes shut down or crash to desktop. What Infuriated me is that one game has a invisible settings window that they don't tell you about that defaults to look for game updates whenever the anti-cheat is running. Which crashes the other game using the same anti-cheat, but the different version, which it tries (and fails, every time) to update. So I needed to go into the program files folder and manually key the note file to turn off the game updater except to run once when that game starts.

I'm pretty sure AMD Software automatically installs chipset and motherboard drivers if it's also AMD

If you have gen 5 and gen 4 ssd, where would you install windows? Where would you install games?

My Ryzen7 5700G idle temps is 45-60c it’s that normal? I live in Thailand ambient temps are around 30-33c I still confuse 😅
