How to use a Rockband 4 Guitar on PC (For Clone Hero 2024)

KNOWN ISSUE: On some systems, the receiver will not be picked up whatsoever. This issue is out of RB4InstrumentMapper's control, and I unfortunately don't have any clue on what the cause is. If the auto-detect process doesn't pick up anything, you're most likely afflicted by this issue.

I have been down so many forum rabbit holes, learned more about HID Compliant drivers than I ever wanted to, bought multiple wireless adapters, done powershell and cmd scripts, and got to the point of giving up. I finally got the itch to mess with it again and after another hour of beating my head against a binary wall, I found your video, followed it, and holy shit it worked. Thank you so much for this!

I was struggling getting this to work last night but I finally tried just the version of RB4 Mapper used in this video, 4.0.3, instead of the newest version and I used version 1.21.442 of Vigembus, and it finally just worked. The newest version of RB4 mapper was not creating the guitar profile after recognizing my controller. That version did it immediately. I'm using the Xbox RB4 wireless guitar with the official xbox adapter. Hope this helps someone since I was beating my head against a wall trying it last night!

I have a rock band 4 guitar. the app works but the third and fourth buttons are in the wrong order. if I press the (yellow) 3rd button the pc thinks it's the 4rd (blue) and the same the other way around. thanks if you can help me fix it.

I just got the PDP riffmaster and it does not have a pcap device detected. It came with a wireless adapter that looks like the xbox one version but this program doesn't seem to recognize it. Is there a way to get the PDP riffmaster to work?

For some reason, the Pcap section won't recognize my guitar even after reconnecting it in the settings. I'm using the same guitar as the video.

I've tried everything and it still doesn't work. my computer recognizes the guitar but anytime I try to use it I get nothing. doesn't work with remapping either. If I click a button on the guitar it doesn't register anything and just closes the window.

EDIT: so the guitar works, but not in clone hero if that makes any sense, it can move the cursor and make clicks with the buttons, but doesn't read at all when I go into clone hero, does it have anything to do with the adapter I bought? (It's 3rd party but still works) any information helps, thank you!

I did everything in the video My red button takes me back to the control set up and my whammy bar and tilt makes my mouse move around I always have to reset my PC to fix it
