The 3rd iteration of the Combine Laughter video, now with radio sounds, a Charger line I had missed previously, and separate sections for laugh and fakeout success lines. I'm not sure what the trigger is to make Combine soldiers laugh, however the fakeout success lines play when they successfully lure the player out from cover by pretending to be friendly.

Looking at the game scripts for Combine soldiers, these lines are not used at all except the Grunt's "Hey Alyx, you there? Hey Alyx it's us!" in a scripted sequence and one of the Suppressor's laughs when first fighting one.

Also these laughs are appropriately named in the captions file "Gloating chuckle".

"hahahahaha... friend game effective..." man they did such a good job making these guys scary and cold, even despite the emotion you can feel from them in some of the other voice lines

I’ve looked through the dialog scripts, and I think—sadly—none of these are ever triggered durring normal gameplay. They only happen during scripted sequences (such as the field at the end of the zoo).
