I always thought it was not a wise decision to not finish the pavilions or add the new ones, depending on the money from the country. It would have certainly helped with attendance as well as the ability to handle crowds better. Epcot always needed more rides. What it did not need was more IP. It was never supposed to have IP. Most out of place is the Marvel ride. It just doesn’t belong in Epcot.

I REALLY enjoyed this video and learned a lot! The Epcot World Showcase is so fascinating.

I'm so sorry to be so nit-picky but I think it's always fun to learn new things and I sense that you have that same spirit! In German, the words that had "-stein" in them aren't pronounced like "steen" but are pronounced like "stine." In English we usually use the first vowel in a word with "ei" for pronunciation but in German you use the second vowel. A maybe easy way to remember this is to think of a stein (stine) of beer. :) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos!

I worked Future World Attractions from Dec. ‘84 to Jan. ‘94. So I know a few things about EPCOT Center. The reason that you think that Maelstrom was a strange ride was because it was a Imagineering screw up. The company that they hired to build the building made it to small for the actual ride so they had to shorten it. Yes, Imagineering works with a lot of outside companies. The original mural which was inside the queue area had a Viking wearing mouse ears.

I really enjoyed this trivia, fun fact filled walk through Epcot's World Showcase! Great job Justin!! One thing I must say is that when Disney decided to scrap the plans to have rides in Germany and Italy (for example), it comes as no surprise to me. In my opinion, the decision to forgo the ride part of these countries was not due to money constraints. As we all know, Disney is a very lucrative money making machine. Over and over again, Disney has decided to lessen the attraction factor of it's parks in favor of restaurants, souvenir shops, quick service dining, etc., because this TOO is incoming cash flow. Disney has mastered the art of cramming as many people in to their parks as they possibly can! The more the people, the more money to be spent! It's why they focus on building more resorts or "retheming" an existing ride, instead of truly expanding their rides and attractions which would serve as a better experience for their guests because you would be able to spread out the crowds a bit more! The other "expansion" that they're good at is price of admission!! As an avid Disney fan for years, I regret to say that Universal Studios is leaving Disney in it's rearview mirror in terms of guest experience!

I ❤ EPCOT and I saw the hidden Mickey in the volcano plume twice! Once with smoke and once with negative space! 😎

Fantastic vlog!! You one the one person worth following and listening to, in a sea of many clowns that try to show off Disney and convince us how great the food taste.

Epcot such a unique park. I always start with Mexico too. I remember my first time there like "They sell tequila???" Haha that's not in CA! But they definitely had some top notch tequilas

I seriously need two full days to fully explore Epcot each trip… mostly because we go during the Food and Wine festival and tend to eat and drink our way around the world showcase, but also because I’m a huge nerd and love the Tomorrowland side of the park and cannot pass the Land and Seas pavilions without spending hours in each one…

I (and more than a few of my neighbours here in Norway) find it uncomfortably weird that the Stave Kirk in Epcot's Norway houses a Viking exhibit. I'm pretty sure if there was a replica of the Vatican in Epcot's Italy there would never, ever be a permanent ancient Roman pantheon of gods exhibit.
