How to Fix Grayed out Options Menu Samsung TV, ''this function is not available error''

If you have a non-smart TV, switch from your smart tv apps to antenna mode, stream any live channel in your TV and tap menu to access options and fix the problem.

If you have a smart TV, you can open any live TV as welll in your Samsung TV live channels and tap to access menu from there and fix the problem. The solution is to open a live channel to solve grayed out options.

Some options in your TV Settings might be grayed out and you won't be able to update some information like TV Software updates, language, TV Set up, broadcasting and so on. This tutorial shows how to fix the issue.

I have a samsung Dolby 5.1 connected to my TV with an Optical Audio Cable (and HDMI for controlling via the TV remote). For me everything works but the EQ option is greyed out and it sounds way to bassy for my liking. Is there a way to fix this? Samsung support says it's normal since there are pre-configured sound-settings but i'm quite sure i was able to adjust the EQ before i moved to a new place and set up the system again. I will check my TV and Dolby 5.1 product number when i get the chance. Thank you

I would also like to add that depending on your source input name PC, game, av receiver, this will also affect the number of options game seems to open up the most options such as Auto motion Plus LED motion plus etc

My lovely, but stupid Samsung TV playes subtitled from compressed formats regardless of whether they're set as forced or not, it's pathetic. In the General > Accessibility options the Subtitle option is greyed out. I hope that this will fix that, I will update.
