These companies will normally simply take any valuable card to sell themselves then they throw all the trash cards into these 30 card packs to make a value off the trash.

I can agree that those are mainly just bulk items. I’ve bought some of them myself, and you can’t really get your money back on those kinds of products, but I did get kinda lucky one time and pulled a $3 Pikachu promo from one of those

Well hisuian heavy ball, forest seal stone and trekking shoes are all staples, at least 75¢ if you buy them as singles!

I used to buy the repackaged yugioh sets that came with 30 cards for the price of a booster — sure none of the cards were expensive but they were genuinely good for deck building. Also did stumble across a few rare cards in the 10 or so I opened. Idc if it’s a scam I loved those packs

Imo, the only thing trick or trade is really great for is giving you a bunch of bulk copies for deck building, like I wouldn't buy them unless I needed specifically psychic/fire pokemon
