To help keep foliage fresh, gather in advance and submerge in bucket’s of water for a couple of days. This will keep it fresh for longer xxx

I'd always heard that with holly the prickly leaves signified Christ's crown of thorns and that the berries signified his blood. Christmas used to have a truer meaning. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!:)

Stunning. I too decorate with nature. There's nothing more lovely. 🕊️

Foraged, to decorate, instead of all the store bought junk. I was just thinking about this today. If only we all had access to these natural materials.

Had a lovely time foraging with you. I enjoy doing it just in my 2 acre garden. I don’t get as many. Berries as you do in the UK.

My husband has been pulling grapevine from our trees and grapevines….I love the idea of doing natural. I usually go overly crazy, but this year want to try lots of natural for my Christmas. So glad you popped up on my feed. Since I have so much grapevine I am thinking there are going to be wreaths everywhere and one laid down on tables. You did a great job. I will subscribe so I can “see” you again.❤❤❤

Such lovely natural decorations. We wait to gather in the greenery until the Winter Solstice every year

Oh this was so beautiful, it’s made me feel all Christmassy now ❄️🎄 We live on the edge of Dartmoor, so I’m off with the dog out foraging this afternoon with secateurs!! Thanks so much for some great ideas

beautiful! I have always added natural elements to a base of faux (since the quality has really come a long way in the last few years), but you’ve really inspired me to go all natural this year! In. S. California we have lots of various types of eucalyptus, cypress & pine everywhere so they will be my base, but you’ve inspired me to also use ivy now! (I had always reserved ivy for spring / Easter before.) Thank you so much for the lovely video❤️

My holly bushes have berries on this year. Ideal for Christmas, sustainable Church flowers with ivy. It’s good to know the vase life will be about three weeks in a cold environment such as a Church.
