Adult hearing test - Audiology at the University of Canterbury

I hated these tests during my military service. During the test you end up thinking that you are hearing noises when they are not there! I found them a bit nervy as if you hearing was bad you could be discharged.

When you hear the beep, it's Supermarket Sweep! If you are a 80s/90s UK kid you'll know what I mean.

NHS uk hearing test audiologists said you will hear a noise, not a beep
.She was in the same room as me so every slight noise she made i heard through the ear phones .
At the end she said i was pressing the button all the time .

I know that this is not relevant to hearing, but the lady in the video has the most beautiful and slender hands! I was paying attention as I have hearing issues, but was distracted by the Audiologist's hands!!!

The last time I was in an audiogram I swear that I heard more tones and beeps that were not there.

Right ear thresholds are marked as red round. And left ear thresholds as blue cross.

She's using insert receivers ( the yellow form things ), yet on the audiogram it says phone ( Short for headphones )

I thought I had tinnitus as I heard a constant noise in my head when in 'silence', say, before sleep for example. But with ear plugs in I don't have that problem

Ever experience getting a hearing test in a way that the audiologist will put you on a soundproof room with head set on and a hand remote and they tell you to push the button on the remote when you hear a they did not tell you what type of sound you have to hear! And they scold you for not pressing the remote or press the remote button wrong

I suspect the reason they cut away from the patient during the tympanometry test, is because it's quite uncomfortable to say the least.
