as a terrible artist, this is actually SUPER useful because most other anatomy videos recommended separating the chest and the uh.. idk middle part of the torso but the shape would always look wonky 😭

I’ve been trying to jump to a good grasp of the 1st to the 3rd without making the shapes complex… no wonder my muscles always look pasted and flat. I haven’t practiced the 2nd point… Thank you 😭

I’ve been practicing gesture along with the construction method from this video and it’s helping slowly, but can anyone explain the definitive WHY when it comes to gesture? I know it’s important when trying to emphasize movement but is that it? Or is there more? I’m just curious is all lol 😭

For me I’m better at drawing horses so I usually make joints circles and most of everything else is also circles or triangles and rectangles but for the human body since the entire body structure is different it makes it a lot harder to make the body flow if that make sense especially compared to a horse where you can get the basic shape and get it almost immediately (base shapes) while with a human it’s more intricate shapes for most smaller parts of the body like hands and feet or even parts of the joints the way the bone makes the knee or elbow look makes it harder to make more correct

if i do this, the thing that always happens is that it becomes too stiff, and now i realize i need a line of activities n, and when i do line of action, the shapes become wonky, so where will i stand 😢
