Emirates, KLM & Qantas Say GOODBYE to Boeing and all turn to Airbus! Here's Why
A major shift in the fleet management strategy of huge airlines is underway, involving two aircraft manufacturers, Boeing and Airbus! As the battle in the skies intensifies, three of the world's most prestigious airlines - Emirates, Qantas, and KLM - have chosen to align with the same side, ready to make significant moves that will impact their future operations.
But what changes are they making in their strategies? And how will this affect the aviation industry? Let’s delve deeper!
Emirates, KLM & Qantas Say GOODBYE to Boeing and all turn to Airbus! Here's Why
KLM has in recent years been shifting its fleet largely to Airbus aircraft. The airline's bold decision to transition from Boeing to Airbus is not just an isolated move, but a reflection of broader trends within the global aviation industry. The operational advantages of the Airbus A321 XLR and A220 300 played a pivotal role in their selection, offering improved fuel efficiency that reduces airlines' costs and addresses the growing demand for environmentally friendly aviation solutions. A major driving factor behind this shift is sustainability. Like many global carriers, they are committed to reducing its carbon emissions. Airbus has emerged as a leader in developing cleaner, quieter aircraft, with the A321 XLR boasting up to 30% better fuel efficiency than previous generations, significantly lowering emissions. Airbus is an attractive choice for airlines striving to meet stringent environmental regulations. KLM also emphasized environmental performance as a primary reason for its shift to Airbus, closely mirroring the rationale given by Qantas for its own transition.
Emirates, KLM & Qantas Say GOODBYE to Boeing and all turn to Airbus! Here's Why
But what is driving KLM’s strategic shift in its fleet?
KLM's decision to prioritize Airbus over Boeing stems from a need for quieter, more cost-effective, and fuel-efficient aircraft. The airline's focus on reducing noise pollution at airports and improving overall operational efficiency aligns perfectly with what Airbus has to offer. The combination of the extended range of the XLR and its impressive fuel efficiency makes it the ideal choice for long-haul flights while keeping operating costs low - a critical factor for airlines seeking to maximize profitability while transitioning to more sustainable practices. Meanwhile, Emirates is also re-evaluating its fleet's future, weighing the options between Boeing and Airbus. Although the airline has long relied on Boeing for its wide-body aircraft, particularly the Triple 7 and 787 models, Airbus may play an increasingly significant role in Emirates' fleet going forward.

Boeing has shot themselves in the foot too many times, and carriers are fed up with delays and excuses. Mean while Airbus is taking advantage of the situation and are winning over the airlines. Many people are still afraid to fly on anything with the Boeing name on it. I for one refuse to fly on anything Boeing built in the past 10 years.

Does anyone vet these AI scripts? This video could have been 4 minutes long, informative and interesting, instead its narration was dull and repetitive. The cuts between the airlines was poorly done and there was no narrative arc. Tell the story don't just fill time.

I am Dutch, so proud of Airbus, but Boeing is needed to. Airbus can never produce what the world needs on its own. I hope Boeing will recover.

Notwithstanding QANTAS being the safest airline in the world...

I see his math skills are as lame as his ludicrous claims..
Emirates has nearly 250 Boeing orders in the books vs 65 for Airbus.
I know you're hoping they cancel that order, until they do, stop talking rubbish !!!

Rubbish Emirates has 205 777X and 35 787 on order.

Great footage of Qantas aircraft……except their last 747 ceased service about 3 years ago and Alan Joyce hasn’t been CEO for the last 12 months. Way to go, that’s how you establish your credibility as a commentator on the aviation industry.

The Boeing airplane Company is in real trouble if they don`t fix all B 777X issues, and if all this stuff delays Type FAA Certification, turn off lights, and forget about it, because watching Quantas shift to Airbus A 350-1000 for very long haul schedules, it just a brief time to see Emirates following them, something that would be a hard strike to Boeing, so hard to recover in short term. The glory days of Renton factory are long, long gone.

Boeing desperately needs to prioritize Safety, customers, and staff over profit; the world needs Boeing more now than ever. The West must consider China and its dynasties the most prominent aviation competition since the first commercial flight. I don't include the Russians because, in reality, they are part of the European family.

Wait what ! Did Emirates says "GOODBYE" to BOEING and turn to AIRBUS just like KLM & QANTAS ? Was a weird video, I told Emirates didn't says "GOODBYE" to BOEING during ordering BOEING 777X and now Emirates says "GOODBYE" to BOEING and turn to AIRBUS for now one as Emirates joint with KLM and QANTAS this video so weird and make me not understand. So, what's going on if Emirates says "GOODBYE" to BOEING and turn to AIRBUS with KLM and QANTAS ?

The day they brought McDonald out Mc’Donald was the end for Boeing as they put profits before safety. I would never fly a Boeing. I value my life to much.

Pretty funny reading some of these comments. Clueless armchair aviation "experts". Looking at even just KLM, by the time fleet rationalisation has completed there will be 28 Boeings on the 132 Airbus. I'd call that a win for Airbus.

Neither Emirates nor KLM say good-bye to Boeing, don't know about Qantas.

Boeing has not been the same since it merged with McDonnell Douglas. The company that was once the pride of America and the industry, is long gone. The name is still around but it is NOT the company that William Boeing created and Bill Allen ran, so sucessfully for many years. When I heard that they were merging with McDonnell Douglas, I got sick to my stomach and had a sense of dread. I say, "good for these airlines" for choosing aircraft that don't have controversial safety issues. Flying used to be fun and exciting but not anymore. I used to be a lifelong Boeing fan but that was when they were a top notch company that cared about safety and using only state of the art, high quality materials and parts. Now if I fly, I choose airlines that operate only Airbus aircraft. Remember the saying, " if it's not a Boeing, then I aint going"? Well nowadays, if it IS a Boeing, then I aint going! My faith and confidence in them, is gone.

Customers prefer green companies - BS. The price matters, and I couldn't care less how green/woke they are. Rather the opposite.

It’s hard to believe that this airlines cancelling boeing 777x which will be the dominant aircraft on the market ! It’s seams to be a propaganda video for airbus ! Isn’t it ?
