In this video, we quickly explain what a front diff drop is for and we show you how to install one on our 4runner project. It is not necessarily something you need, but it is an extra precaution to keeping your cv axles in good condition. Thank you for watching.

Any problems with changing the axle angle? CV’s are better but doesn’t that change your drive shaft angle?

Based on the video when you screw in the new top nut, it seems there is not enough thread left on the bolt top for the screw to complete go through the nut. I have a kit for my Gen5 and it looks exactly like yours. The tip of the bolt falls short of threading through the nut inner plastic liner which is consider to be the thread locker. Just wondering how safe it is?

How did you get the skid plate bolts to stay in place on the skid?
I'm guessing it's your knees holding it in place.
Would make the oil changes a lot easier if there is a way to hold those bolts in place.
With those spacers it's going to be more of a challenge now.

On my TRD Off-road I just used extra spacers on the front of the TRD skid plate like you did but none on the rear. Bolted up fine.
