This is based off of Indian mythology..
Amitabh bachhan is playing the role of Ashwathaama from mahabharat. He is the son of guru dronacharya who had trained the pandavas.
Ashwathama is one of the 12 immortals that are walking now on this earth..
Ashwathama was born with a gem on his forehead and was a top warrior..
Towards the end of the Dwaparyug, ashwathama had killed the children of pandavas for revenge
Lord Krishna, the 9th avatar of Lord Vishnu had punished him by removing that gem from his forehead and cursing to roam in this world for eternity with a bleading forehead.
Ashwathama's only salvation now is to protect the 10th Avatar of Lord Vishnu who is named Kalki..
Bhairava who here is Prabhas is the avatar of Lord Shiva and protector of the city Kashi as in the indian ancient texts..
Finally, the baby in Deepika Padukone is the final avatar of Lord Vishnu as per the prophecy who is born at the end of Kaliyug to destroy all evil on this earth.. they say he will come riding on a white horse with a blade to annahilate the evil and restore peace and faith n Earth...
