A few days ago, I did a 7 hour ride on mostly flat roads through South Texas. Most of it was below 70mph, but on the last couple of hours, I was running 80+ with traffic and it did much better than I thought it would. 59 mpgs and no issues with stability. I cannot complain.

Ive watched about 10 videos trying to figure out what this bike can do on the motorway. This video explained and demonstrated it beautifully in 3 minutes. Thank you.

65 mph at 6000 RPM is the sweet spot on my 2021 G310GS. I ride all day at that speed with no problems and excellent gas mileage. Pretty impressive for a 34 horsepower motorcycle and it’s all day comfortable as well.

Very helpful test, thank you! A bit surprised of how well it can keep up with traffic.

I have found my 310 GS is comfortable around the 65mph. Over that and the acceleration doesn't give me the confidence to punch it and get out of the way. This bike seems to love 40-55mph on back roads - it does ok up to 70 mph - can go faster - but like you said - not so comfortable at the higher speeds. That being said - what a joy to ride - makes me smile everytime.

Nice quick vid! I wish more people would bring little bikes to the highway to show how they cope. I imagine most of these will see some highway time, maybe a lot, and it’s nice to know how they do getting to speed and how they feel once there! Cheers!

Great video, thank you. I have a '14 Honda Forza 300 that I've been using to commute on the 5 freeway between Anaheim and Mission Viejo. My scooter does good in the traffic and I can get it up to about 77 mph when needed to flow with most of the vehicles on the highway but having another 13 mph faster to get through some of the faster areas would be great. Plus I want to be able to get out to local fire roads for some off road fun. I'm looking to check out the BMW G 310GS soon as a possible trade from my scooter. I'll just have to work out the logistics on all the storage options that my scooter currently gives me for carrying my tools, lunch and misc.

V honest account. I bought this bike and ended up doing a 250 mile motorway journey with it. Sent my hand to sleep with the vibes causing pins and needles. Had to constantly shake clutch hand to help. Off highways/motorways the suspension over pot holed roads is superb. Has a v comfy seat and bars position/ rider triangle. However I did have to get rid of the bike due to vibes.

Just picked mine up Saturday. Frigg'n LOVE that bike! And I have owned 15 bikes & scooters in the last 4 years, so I have some to compare it to! hahahaha! HOWEVER, I have plans on taking it down the interstate roads much. I have a Vstar Silverado for that. :-D
Those little baby GS will soot along real nice for such a small displacement. AWESOME in city traffic!

I had the Suzuki DR 350 dual sport with 80% off road tires and it was a bit scary going 72 miles per hour. I'm certain the BMW G310GS will comport itself much better on the highway although I don't plan on spending much time on the highway. This would be for mostly around town commuting and typical back road adventure touring.

I put a 17T front sprocket on my 2018 310gs and it made ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. Totally different bike, in a good way.

I cruise at 70 and barely push 6200 rpm or so.

So much nicer

how fast do you wanna go with a dualsport 310 70mph is plenty none of the 650cc dualsport can do more than 70 smoothly and comfortably klr 650 dr 650 xr650L or wr250 .

No thanks I want at least 60 hp before I'll consider hitting the freeway. Would you think a semi could stop quick enough if you got in his way?

You need to upgrade your camera, it's awful. Can't watch

Personal question: how light is the rider?
