This is absolutely sick. It solves a lot of the zoning issues. Where you just use mostly radiant to heat the home in the winter and supplement with the air handler. Where as the opposite working in the summer, plus you take all that heat and put it inside the water heater.

I've just bought a new-build home with this "fantastic" Diakin Air Source Heat pump - it spins constantly, whether or not I'm using the heating or hot water, used 2500 kWh in 3 months (for single occupancy two bed apartment) - the sort of electricity used by a family of four in a year!!! Plus it was installed incorrectly and one of the radiators remains on constantly. Still waiting for it to be repaired over SIX months later. Recommendation: burn paper money in an open fire - cheaper and warmer.

Hi Mate! Just a quick one. If I would like to install a system without hydrobox do you think I would be able? I mean I have a Daikin Altherma ERHQ011AA and I would like to know if I can install it with any heat exchanger or I need specificaly the hydrobox? From Daikin Altherma ERHQ011AA the hot air water is coming inside directly? Thanks in advance for your help.

If I would pick a HVAC company between Daikin and Lennox, I would rather get a Lennox, because of there 25 SEER condenser and 98 AFU furnace. If you get it with solar panels, you will save a whole lot more and also you can get energy rebates.

I would not put such a system in a simple house. I would put air conditioning units in each room and a separate hot water heat pump. 650 btu for each square meter of space for air conditioning units.

I'm a little confused. Is this a fancy heat pump water heater? Or will it cool my home while using waste heat to hear my water?

Have you heard about the new Daikin VRV IV-S? It has 9hp capacity at the same size of the older one (VRV-IIIS 6hp).

You could of insulated, ventilated, and Air sealed that house for 5k. Slap in a heat pump hot water heater for a grand and been done. Saved yourself $39, 000 dollars, not to mention needed a Harvard educated technician to service this equipment...

how much cheating on daikin systems by themselves in enough ? you will find nowhere which pump is suitable for which square meter space but you will find tens of other paratemers .... why it is like that ?
